The Royal Tudor Beasts collection, inspired by royal heritage, is celebrating the ten stone statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace. These sculptures were created to commemorate Henry VIII’s marriage to Jane Seymour and represent the might of the Tudor dynasty. The collection began with the Lion of England, and now the second coin in the bullion series features the Yale of Beaufort.

Features the mythical yale on the reverse of the coin with a chainmail surface animation background texture providing additional security. The obverse of the coin features the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty The Queen.

What are the Queens Beasts?

The Queen’s Beasts are ten legendary creatures who symbolise the historic ancestry of Her Majesty The Queen. As a set of ten statues, each statue bears the shield or crest of the family they represented. They all stood guard outside Westminster Abbey in 1953 during the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As The Queen’s Beasts Collection, their mythical stories have been reimagined for the twenty-first century in a series of ten popular coin designs by the celebrated designer Jody Clark.
